How to Steep Tea in Milk

Water isn’t the only thing tea leaves can be infused in.

Steeping tea leaves directly into dairy products like milk or heavy cream is a way to add flavor to desserts or create unique beverages.

Cold Infusion Instructions
  1. Add the tea leaves & milk* to a jar or brewing pitcher that can be covered. Mason jars work well.
  2. Put it into the refrigerator and allow to infuse for 24 - 48 hours**. The longer the misxute is allowed to infuse the more flavorful it will become.
  3. Strain milk/tea mixture through a cullender or strainer into another jar or pitcher.
  4. Once prepared, the infused milk will be good until the date on the milk used.

TIPS

*For best results, use the suggested tea/water ratio for hot brewing recommended on the teas packaging.
** It will take the tea leaves longer to infuse into the milk than it does water. If cold brewing in water, please refer to our Cold Brew STEAPing Guide.
