Tea from an ancient tea tree forest named for Michigan's Ancient Petroglyphs.
Yunnan province, China is home to some of the oldest tea trees. This organic black tea is made with tea leaves from ancient growth tea plants which range in age from 500 to 2,000 years old. These tea forests thrive on biodiversity.
With some golden tips, this Ancient Yunnan brews a robust cup. Earthy and malty, with little astringency or tannin, this tea has notes of cedar and honey and a heavy finish.
Ancient Petroglyphs is bold, dark, and inviting. It's subtle sweetness has little astringency and tolerates milk.

STEAPing Suggestion
Measure 2 teaspoons of tea leaves (3 grams) per 8 oz. of water. Heat water to 200, or just short of boiling, and steep for 4-5 minutes.
About the Name
Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park protects and interprets Michigan’s largest known collection of early Native American teachings carved in stone. The carvings are called Ezhibiigaadek Asin, “written on stone,” in the Anishinaabemowin language.
