Up North Nilgiri is named for the delight Michiganders get when going "up north."
Nilgiri teas are know as "the fregrant ones," and this one doesn't dissapoint! The large, wirey leaves brew a medium-bodied cup that is brisk and bright, with just a hint of malty spice. This is a layered black tea.
Up North Nilgiri is grown at an elevation of 6,000 feet in the Nilgiri Mountains of Southern India. The Nilgiri Mountains, or "Blue Mountains," are a biodiverse area known for it's tea plantations and cool, misty climate. One of the earliest estates in the area, Dunsandle is renowned for its lush, green, rolling hills and its plethora of birds and wildflowers.
This single estate organic tea is sourced from a small family tea farm.
