Chai is a popular Indian tea that is made with black tea, milk, spices and sweetener.
This Masala Chai blend contains black tea, ginger root, cinnamon, green cardamom as well as cinnamon, ginger and vanilla flavor. The tea has the distinctive fragrance synonymous with chai and brews a nice, not to spicy cup.
Chai is traditionally brewed strong and consumed with plenty of milk and sweetener. You can brew this tea in the traditional Indian brewing method or the classic infusion method. It can also be brewed double or triple strength and used to make a chai latte.
Use 1-2 teaspoons of tea (2-3 grams) per 8 oz. water, 200-210 F.
steep for 3-5 minutes. Add milk and sweetner.
